Your Account security is of utmost importance to us at Mexican Gold.

The Password that you choose is the key to access and use of your Accounts.
You want a "Super Strength Key" to protect your Accounts from strangers and hackers who by guessing your password could access your Accounts and spend your money.

Here's how it works:

Your Mexican Gold Password is "case sensitive". That means our computer recognizes the difference between the characters "a" and "A", or "b" and "B", etc.

In addition, you may use any number, i.e. "1", "2", .... "9", "0"

In addition, you may use a hyphen, " - "

This gives you a total of 63 different "characters" to use in your Password.

Password

You may have as few as 6 characters, and up to 12 characters in your Password.

Instead of choosing a Password for your Account that is easy to remember, and easy for others to guess, create a "non sense" password that will be impossible for others to guess, and next to impossible for hackers to unravel.

Here's an example of a Super Strength password: K3uPF96-d7Ya

Hard to remember - of course. But also impossible to guess. And for a hacker, there are 63¹²possible combinations. That's a VERY big number! Hardly worth the time and effort to crack unless you have a million dollars in your Account !

Okay, so maybe you won't use all 12 possible characters. Even with only 6 characters (the minimum), there are 63⁶ possible combinations. That's 63 x 63 x 63 x 63 x 63 x 63 or 62,523,502,209 possible combinations!

Can't think of a Super Strength password ?

We've created a game for you to help you create your Password, and remember it in the future.

Below you will find 7 large squares, each divided into 9 smaller squares with a different character in each.

Choose a "pattern" of small squares. i.e. the top left small square in each large square. Or, the middle row of squares on the first three large blocks. Or, the four corner squares on the last two large squares. Or whatever other pattern you decide that you can remember.

Select a pattern with 6 to 12 characters for your new Password.

Highlight, copy and paste, or type, each password character from the pattern into the box below to create your new Super Strength Password, then highlight your newly created Password, and copy and paste it into the Password fields on the New Member Registration page.

The advantage to you of our little game is that if you can remember your pattern, you can re-create your Password without having to send us an E-mail for Help on Recovering Your Password.

When you have created your password, you should write it down and keep it in a safe place. But if you lose that piece of paper, and can't remember your password, try to remember just the pattern and you can re-create it.

Of course, don't tell anybody the "pattern" !
